Layer hiearchy
Hi, I do web development and I am attempting to see if I can ween off Photoshop for what I do, (mainly cutting up images) is there a way to have Gimp view a PS file and include the hierarchy of the layers that are originally laid out in Photoshop?

thanks for any help you lay give.

RE: Layer hiearchy
Gimp 2.8 (currently testable as Gimp 2.7) will support "layer groups", if this is what you have in mind.

So this will consume and display the layer hierarchy that I receive from designers in a PSD file. Basically to define what I mean, PS will have a hierarchy of the layers so that areas are logically grouped. So when you are cutting up a layout the respective parts are not all over the map when you have a complicated document.

thanks again for your help and response.
