Latest stable gimp (2.8) has MAJOR flaw!
While the loading dialog box has MANY formats available, the saving dialog box is now limited to like 3 formats. Native gimp file, bzip compressed file, and gzip compressed file.

I downloaded the latest compiled binary from here http://sourceforge.net/projects/gimp-win...e/download and this wasn't just any random person's compiling of GImp. This was the officially endorsed compiling of it (I say endorsed, because the Gimp team actually doesn't compile their own, but they link to the best compiled version, so theoretically it's as good as compiling it yourself directly from the source, but without the MAJOR hassle of doing so). So I wasn't expecting any bugs. But this one with limited save formats seems to be a MAJOR BUG!!!!!!! If this is in fact a problem with the source, GIMP TEAM PLEASE FIX IT!!!!

Here's the screen cap of the image loading dialog with LOTS of available formats.

Here's the screncap of the image SAVING screen with ALMOST NO VARIETY OF FORMATS TO CHOOSE FROM!!!!!
