Jurrassic attack
Hello. I am new here and this is one of my first "larger" images. I also made a video (SpeedArt) and posted it on youtube. You may find it at the following link. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jG6mrJxrhM4
I hope you will like it.

RE: Jurrassic attack
I was trying to make the bus and the raptor look like they are moving. And as I said it´s one of my first pictures i´ve made and I was using the blur effect for the first time so maybe it doesn´t look right.

Thumbs Up RE: Jurrassic attack
I believe Marty was going for a motion effect by blurring both raptor & bus. The whole image looks most realistic & shows the power of Gimp Smile Well done.

To cut down on the ammount of work (some)
I would have just made perspective guidlines where the guard rails are as 70% of it is obscured by the bus.

Awesome attention to detail in the shading & recreating the front end crunch right down to the orange turn signal cap, wow!!

RE: Jurrassic attack
Thank you!

You´re right. I didn´t realize that the bus will obscure large part of the guard rails. Big Grin

Moving, while it has a guard rail stuck in the engine? Something doesn't compute...

Ok. You´re probably right. I did the blur wrong.

RE: Jurrassic attack
I'm not particularly a fan of speed art because I like to see the whole process in detail.
But otherwise the duration of the video would be enormous.

I enjoyed it!
I love montages, edits images. And this type of manipulation is hard to find anything made in gimp, the most glaring are videos using photoshop.
The magic of bringing together separate images and compose a new setting is very fascinating and enjoyable.
Thanks for sharing your video, hope to see others more!

RE: Jurrassic attack
I know others have said it but it would be a great improvement to drop the blurring to the front of the bus. You put so much time and effort into creating the crash scene it's a shame not to see it in all its glory.
Nice work and a good idea.
