Issue with exporting to .bmp
Can someone explain what was changed with exporting to BMP from Gimp 2.6 to 2.8 (2.8.6)?
When I was exporting in Gimp 2.6 it would say so and flatten my multi-layer image when exporting to BMP.
The new version does not say/ask anything and is doing something differently because the same other application that I'm using it to display on a 3D model is not accepting it any longer (texture shows up garbled or blue-toned).
If I flatten my image myself before exporting, it works, but as I export from the same xcf repeatedly to see how the newest tweak looks, that's not exactly practical.
Any help is appreciated.

RE: Issue with exporting to .bmp
Thank you for the reply.
I've found out that I can solve my problem by exporting at 24 bit depth rather than the default 32 for files with alpha channel.
