Is it possible
First off I'm new to gimp I have played around with the software and I really do like it^^

I was wondering if it was possible to get the effect of the green color from this tif:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4578845/frog.tif

On to this tif:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4578845/full%20door.tif

I'm not thinking of doing an overlay or anything like that, creating the "rough" effect with the color (I have no idea what correct name of it is)
But without using the frog picture in any way combined with picture I would like the effect on.
I would like to be able to do it on any surface of any picture.

It looks like that the green color of the first tif (named frog) consists of multiple different green coloured pixels scattered at random.

Thanks for any help on this, I really appreciate it.

/Dennis

RE: Is it possible

RE: Is it possible
Looks like some HSV noise (Filter/Noise/HSV noise) to me, with mostly V and a little bit of S.

The soft color gradients applied over the whole door also help.

Yes I normally work with SolidWorks, but the renders can get so much better enhanced with gimp Smile
