Inheritance Cycle
Cristopher Paolini is the author of the Inheritance Cycle, four adventure books about dragons- Eragon, Eldest, Brising, Inheritance. They are very popular books and have been bestsellers.

I really like the Inheritance Cycle. It is very suspenseful, creative, and interesting. The one criticism I do have about it though, Eragon is ok for pre-teen, but by the time you get to Inheritance it is like a teen/adult book, because there is a lot of blood. But I don't think that harms it from being a good book, it is one of those books that you just can't put down.

So what do you think of the Inheritance Cycle? Have you ever read the books?

RE: Inheritance Cycle
I've read all the books except for the last one. They were the first large fantasy novels I've ever read.

RE: Inheritance Cycle
No, never read The Inheritance Cycle and I'm probably way to old for teen books.

I do remember there's a dragon in Tolkien's The Hobbit and a fair smattering of them in The Lord of the Rings trilogy but I think dragons work best in the movies. There's a very cool one in a film called Reign of Fire - it's a none talking dragon which is always for the best - and toward the end of the movie when it's on the ground and stalking its would be killers it is the most convincing dragon I've seen.
