Increase size of reference symbol in 'Rotate' function?
Anybody know how to do this? It's going to be in the GIMP program code, I'm sure...

A pic of the object that I'm referring to is in Ubuntu forums here:

No access, without a registered id for the forum.

If you are talking about the circle with a cross-hair I agree it doesn't look too good, but its size if coherent with other symbols used elsewhere (such as the cross-hair used for the clone tool).

It must be located somewhere in the rotate plugin that is not that big...

If you download the C source, you'll find it in app/tools/gimptransformtool.c, around line 897 (in the 2.6.11 version):

/* draw the center */
if (tr_tool->use_center)
{
gint d = MIN (tr_tool->handle_w, tr_tool->handle_h);

gimp_draw_tool_draw_handle (draw_tool,
GIMP_HANDLE_CIRCLE,
tr_tool->tcx, tr_tool->tcy,
d, d,
GTK_ANCHOR_CENTER,
FALSE);
gimp_draw_tool_draw_handle (draw_tool,
GIMP_HANDLE_CROSS,
tr_tool->tcx, tr_tool->tcy,
d, d,
GTK_ANCHOR_CENTER,
FALSE);
}

as you can see, it's not an easily changed bitmap.
