I want to make my wheels look like there moving but it dont work?
Hi I have a photo of my car and I try to use Radical Blur after I have selected around the alloy

Now this is the confusing part! I do the back alloy and it actually looks like its spinning (moving) great! now I move and do the front alloy and it just looks a mess!? it does not create a spin effect just completely blurred or lines? why does it work on the first wheel but the second one it dont?!

hi kizzle,

welcome to the forum !

i really hope you mean radial blur, and not radical blur Wink

its hard to say what you mean when you say "mess", without a picture of your project
can you post it ?

Did you change the center of the blur?

good call, ofnuts !

i just tried to radial blur the wheels of a car, and to my surprise the same "mess" happened to my image

so what you have to do is change the x and y values so they line up with the center of your second wheel

RE: I want to make my wheels look like there moving but it dont work?
Agreed.

The Blur Centre X&Y values default to the centre of your image or selection when you first call the Motion Blur dialog.
Subsequent calls to the filter do not reset these values (bug?)
So, you either have to note the centre position of your subsequent selection or
you can Filters->Reset All Filters, before re-showing the Motion Blur dialog. Smile
