How to stop auto orientation
While opening new picture with gimp, it asked me if i want gimp to change the orientation of picture. I accidently marked "Do not ask again" and pressed "YES" button. So now, every time i open new picture, it automatically changes orientation(rotates whole picture 90deg).
How to stop it?

RE: How to stop auto orientation
Edit 'parasiterc' file in your Gimp profile (*) and erase line that says more or less:
(parasite "exif-orientation-rotate" 1 3 "yes")
Save the file, and you should be in business... you can also bluntly erase the file (but you will lose some not-too-important settings in the process, like the default quality when you save JPEGs).

  • WinXP: c:\Documents and Settings\{your_id}\.gimp-2.6\parasiterc
  • Vista/7: c:\users\{your_id}\.gimp-2.6\parasiterc
  • Linux: ~/.gimp-2.6/parasiterc (the leading '.' in .gimp-2.6 makes it non-displayed by default, so beware).
