How to remove dotted box around image ?
I have a black text image. It has a dotted cut line (ex - - - - - - - ) boxed around the image. How do I remove it ?

RE: How to remove dotted box around image ?
Is it in the real image or only in Gimp? In Gimp it's the "layer boundary" and is made non-visible using "View/Show Layer boundary" (but when you use multiple layers this is a really useful thing to have). If it is in the the actual image, the removal technique will depend on the image, the more radical one being to crop one or two pixels of the image border.

It`s a gimp thing. The image I`m using is just black text. It says just 3 or 4 words. When I go to print it out the background within the box is gray. I don`t want that. I just want the black text to appear. Any idea how to remove ?

I have no printer at hand, but if I make an image with just a transparent layer and some black text on it, printing to PDF produces a white page with the text and no gray box around it:

Can you post:

1) a screenshot of Gimp with the image (showing both the main image window and the Layers dialog/list)
2) a scan/photo (even of telephone quality) of the printed output?
