how to produce color abberation effect in GIMP

how to produce color abberation effect in GIMP
i know its a little bit weird, but do you guys know how to intentionally creating color abberation with GIMP ? been searching through the web, and all i can find is the how to fix the CA not the other way around.

Works for me:

1) Open your Channels list
2) Deselect two of the RGB channels (so only one shows up highlighted in blue)
3) Apply Filters/Distorts/Lens distorsion (mostly Main/Edge with moderate values (<2.0)) to that channel

ofnuts, thanks for the reply, i've tried your suggestions but i dont quite get what i want. fortunately i found fix-ca plugins (searching for the installer can be confusing thought) and so far im satisified with the result. again thanks for your help.
