How to make an antialiased triangle?
I made a triangle with the path tool, but then when I fill it with bucket fill the pixels either get filled or not filled. I want the original triangle, which doesn't lie on pixel edges but between edges ([0,16],[8.5,0],[17,16]), to be painted in such a way that if a pixel is partially in the triangle it gets partially painted. I'm working on a 17x16 size image.

Oops, I'm not sure if I've been fooled by the marching ants, they indicate a selection that follows pixel boundaries, but is the selection really following pixel boundaries? It's hard to see.

Try putting the Path to Selection, then create a new layer with the color you want your triangle to be, then copy from that layer. Then paste the triangle into a new layer. It's what I always do; the Bucket Fill doesn't work for me too.
