How to correct out-of-gamut colors?

I've recently added color profiles to some images that I created a while back... There are lots of areas that are out of gamut for my new printer (Canon PIXMA Pro9000 MkII)... I'm not sure how to correct the colors so that they can be printed correctly. Any help is greatly appreciated!!
