How can I properly align my rectangles around text?
Hey guys,

Im new to Gimp. Im trying to design a logo with text in the middle thats centered, and then create a box around it with thin lining.

I have developed a few tests so far and they keep coming out disproportionate and look super unprofessional.

Is there anyway to align the rectangle around the text so that its even all the way around?

I know there is the auto align button, but that is too close to the text. I need some space around it.

Thank you
