Hi there
Hello, everyone!

New here, GIMP is main workflow program in Linux as the easiest, but it wasn't made for my workflow and I came here to ask about alternative. I do fast repeated operations on jpg to jpg on many files.

See you on General forum.

Welcome HGJ98! yAy another linux user, awesome! So many new users this week(that I see) we hope you'll stick around, I'm a windows user myself, but I've dabbled in some mac & very little in linux(a friend had it)

Maybe you can assist a bit with troubleshooting gimp problems minor/major (up to you)
from other users.

Great to hear Gimp is your main workflow, it can be very custom visually if you edit the gtkrc in the gim... /2.0 folder
example, toolbar sizes, icons & tab sizes, even font (to an extent)

Again a very warm welcome to you!

As for alternates, for specific application of free photo manipulation, good performance can be tough to match to Gimp, especially in linux I think. Maybe paintshop pro?
PhtShpEl is cheaper with less features than the bloated PhtShp.
