Help Message

Everytime I hit the HELP button, I get an error message.
I'm missing backends and GVFS?

This means you are using the "online help" and Gimp can't retrieve the file that is used an a tablmes of contents for the contextual help. Since the URL in your message is valid (I just tried) you may have network problems. Click on this link (from the same machine you using Gimp on, of course) to see if you can access the file:

http://docs.gimp.org/2.6/en/gimp-help.xml

It doesn't work on Safari or Camino.
Can I change that link?

I see a blank page.
XML files can be rendered as blank pages in some cases. If you couldn't access the file you would have had some error message ("Cannot connect to server" or else).

However Googling for "gimp Could not open for reading: operation not supported" gives the answer that the contextual Help doesn't work on the Mac... (at least the "online" version). You aren't left completely dead in the water because that help is nothing more that taking you to the right page in the HTML docs. You can try to install the help locally to see if that fixes things.

RE: Help Message
I'll just use the locally installed copy then. I hope is EXACTLY the same as the online
version.
