Hello! I want to make a mask! LOL!
Hi all,

I been lookin all over the net for some sort of tutorial for this!

What I want to do is use a photo of a friend and put like a super hero or villain mask on her, sorta like Robin or Harley Quinn...

Can yall hep me out?

1) obtain a properly cutout mask. This means that the mask is over a transparent background. You can read here how to change a uniform background to transparent: http://gimpforums.com/thread-proper-subj...d-painting
2) save this mask as a PNG file
3) open the file with your victim's image
4) Use "File/Open as layers" to open the saved mask image, which will appear as a new layer over the ex-friend's picture.
5) Use the Scale (Scale), Rotate (Rotate) and Move (Move) tools to position the mask
6) save the image as XCF (Gimp's format) (because since it's your first you'll certainly have to rework it, and it's easier to do from the XCF)
7) save as JPG to share with remaining friends
