Hello from India
Hello everyone, I am a big fan of gimp. I am not a graphic designer but I want to study & master the art form. I am new to using gimp & any such software so any words of advise & how can I learn graphic designing on my own in easy way?

RE: Hello from India
I like the name Doc, but I bet if you are a psychiatrist, your patients are just like me.

Check out mine and other user tutorials on this forum. Also you can apply what you learn from us to Photoshop tutorials as well. Conversion is just a matter of learning the GIMP navigation.

Here is a short list of my tutorials;

Space - Cartoon People - Cartoon Landscapes

Kubuntu 12.04 - Guild Wars - Retired Paranormal Researcher

A very warm welcome to you!

Practice practice practice ^_^ Start with something simple, like drawing, or trying to remove red eye.

If you have a certain problem or issues with a photo, do one fix at a time.

Search for your issue here first ( http://gimpforums.com/search.php ) , then ask in the Beginner section if you can't find it.
