Green-things and Salivations...
Ok, I've been using Gimp for several years, but only to crop, resize, and save to other formats. I know its kind of a big program to do just that, but I always held out hope that one day a brick would fall from the sky and I would understand all its features.

In February of this year I got my first Digital SLR camera (Canon T2i) and decided there were not enough bricks falling. I needed to learn how to use the da...(uh) 'darned' thing. I subscribed to a podcast on iTunes called Meet the Gimp and have been enjoying and learning quite a bit from it. (Rolf Rocks!)

Great as the podcast is however, nothing beats a live person at the other end of a question. I joined a local photography club last month in hopes of finding other photographers using Gimp to dirct my questions, but was disappoined. Most had never even heard of it.

So that brings me to this group. I ran into a problem recently and could not find an answer on the net. Live persons to the rescue (dats you guys).

Looking forward to hearing from the group, and tossing my 2ยข in from time to time.
