Rainbow Glass Text
I've watched and read quite a few tutorials - on how to do this in Gimp - they all stink and they are all much too complicated (for me).

Open a new document - (in gimp) RIGHT CLICK on that empty canvas and follow:

RIGHT CLICK > File > Create > FX Foundry > Logo > Glass Effect Text (that's it your finished) -AFTER you change the Gimp entry @ the top of the menu !

This text is transparent (png) so anything under it will show through!

If you don't have that script in your (scripts) folder -

GET SCRIPT HERE

By the way: I have four Inupiaq (Eskimo) sons - Their names are:

MarkAndrew Jesse Isaiah Khristopher = MAJIK
Isaiah, MarkAndrew, Jesse, Eves = IMAJE

I also wonder why you distribute the script instead of referring people to the original one? http://gimpfx-foundry.sourceforge.net/

Because I just don't know any better - thanks for showing me what a jerk I have been! I am new to linux and I am new to gimp. Just your basic noob!!

RE: Glass Text
That should be "Magic Image", I believe.

The spelling errors stand out like a sore thumb. Not good!

You overlooked his first post if you're serious.

Hence the spelling, it's intentional.

RE: Glass Text
I apologize.

I guess I'm not only stupid concerning GIMP.

I will work on both.
