Gimp picture to HTML Canvas?

I have been using Gimp with a drawing board for cartoon pictures.
Now, I like to create simple animation from the pictures that I made.
Is there any way Gimp can convert pictures (whatever format) into HTML canvas code?

Thank you.

RE: Gimp picture to HTML Canvas?
If by html canvas code you mean animated gifs. Then yes. Each layer is treated like a frame. When you go to Export, export it as "filename.gif" then in the export options check on "[]as animation"

If your canvas size is large it might amount to rather large file sizes.

However, if you mean the HTML5 Canvas, I haven't found anything about animation except something on stack overflow and inkskape
stackoverflow Bas64 png data to HTML5 canvas:

Inkscape(gimp related program, vector based, better for drawing?)
Import / Export to HTML5 <canvas> tag

You can try one image(.jpg or .png) first and let us know what error it throws up.

What formats does the canvas code support?
In Gimp:
-go to "File > Export"
- click "[+]Select File Type(By Extension)"

Then scroll through, the extensions are on the right side.

Report back with your findings as this may help others experiencing a similar issue.
