gimp huge size question
I might be working on a future project where I would need to make images that fit on the side of a semi or bus. Can Gimp handle these sizes? Also is there anything special I need to do to deal with these sizes?

RE: gimp huge size question
What really counts is the number of pixels you'll be using which in turn depends on the pixel density of your print medium. This density is quite low for large prints (on billboards it should be around 10DPI, maybe lower). In practice one seldom needs to work on pictures much bigger than 24Mpix.

I also depends on the type of images if they are paintings or photographs then Gimp is a good choice. If these are mostly text and logos, a vector graphics app such as InkScape would be better suited.
