Hi, I am building a DIY dtg converting and Epson 1800 and thinking of using Gimp with gutenprint plug in to drive my printer.. I have two questions,, first of all I was told the 2.6 gimp version was the latest release,,, is that correct? Secondly,, does it matters which one of these two gets to installed first, or does that matters at all? Thanks in advance!

RE: Gimp/gutenprint?
More info & a couple of screenshots

Depends what gutenprint you are thinking of.

The gutenprint drivers, gutenprint-cups, gutenprint-ijs, can be installed before gimp.

Gimp-gutenprint has Gimp as a dependency but the requirements are low, anything later than Gimp 2.2.7 will do.

list of supported printers - epson is always well supported.
