Gimp crashes when using ANYTHING in toolbar!!!! PLEASE HELP!
I've been using Gimp for almost a year now and I've been using 2.8.6. recently every time I open a new file, save, etc, it doesn't work and Gimp crashes. I uninstalled Gimp and changed to 2.8.10 to no avail.

I can drag and drop files into Gimp, work on them and click File > Save just fine, however "Open" and EVERYTHING else in the Toolbar at the top ends up crashing my Gimp. I deleted all rcc files in the .gimp folder and I deleted all of the brushes I don't use. I'm scared to touch my fonts because I use all of them.

Dragging + dropping is the only way I can open my files and .xcfs, otherwise, Gimp is rendered entirely useless.. This has been going on for weeks. Prior to this Gimp 2.8.6 was fine.. I SERIOUSLY need help!!!! Is there anyone else with this problem or am I the only one? I'm running Windows 7, not a Mac or Linux.. I'm tearing my hair out trying to fix this problem.

Hi,
I would like you to post a screenshot of the Windows error message related to the Gimp application crash.

Click your 'Start button' type in 'reliability',
click on 'View Reliability History'
When displayed, look for red & white 'x' icon(s).
Click on those icons one by one until you see a GNU Image Manipulation line item displayed.
Double click the GNU Image Manipulation entry and use your 'Snipping' tool to create and image displaying the error message details and attach it your next post.
Cheers.
