Gimp and Python development
Hi, I am new to GIMP, so please excuse the ignorance.

I am interested to develop a Python based application to manage my photo library, which is huge. I use Picasa, but it has no future, so I want to develop my own, on the photo file management side, however, use GIMP as my photo editor.

Would anyone who has been using GIMP in conjunction with Python, and for that matter, another language environment?

Where should I start reading and get API libraries to start exploring with Python?

If this forum is not the right place, please point me to where that may be.

Thank you.

cheers
