Gimp 2.6 user manual

Hi! Where in hell can I download(meaning to have it in my laptop...not looking at it being connected to the Internet)the user manual for GIMP 2.6.This seems to be a rare beast.I had it for the 2.4 version and when I did move to 2.6...never been able to get it again.Thanks!

The second proposition is not working.This only brings you to an Internet page.Unless I'm wrong,you can't download this page to have it store on your laptop.Have try the first proposition yet but...Thanks!

Once you know the secret handshake(*), you find that the page has 13 download links for various language versions of the 2.6 doc.

Well...I went to the page suggested in the first proposition.Those links were working so...I did download the English version then did run it...it never did install.I use Windows 7 home edition.

Installation of the online help is just dezipping (tar.gz is Unix-ish, but Windows utilities such as Winrar handle it) the file in the right directory (unfortunately I don't run Windows, so you'll have to wait until a Windows user chimes in to find where)(*), and making the right choice in Edit/Preferences/Help system. This dialog tab also tells you if the help looks installed properly when you select the locally installed version.

(*) On Linux it's in /usr/share/gimp/2.0/help/en/ and /usr/share/gimp/2.0/help/images/ and the Windows version should ave a very similar setup in "C:\program files\Gimp"

Just like for my problem with the GAP program that wouldn't show,my laptop had to be shut "off" then turn back "on" for the thing to work.The user manual is now on my laptop but I had to click on it 3 times before I finally got it.The first 2 times,I was getting "the user manual isn't on this computer".Thanks!
