GIMP 2.10 mathmap.exe error while starting
I have installed the new GIMP 2.10.0 Release version (on Windows 10 64-bit).

When GIMP starts it shows an error message:
Title: "mathmap.exe - Application error"
Message: "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b).
Click OK to close the application."

GIMP itself does load and run.
I got the same error with the release candidate RC2.

I uninstalled GIMP, removed any leftover install directories and then did a clean install (several times) but this did not fix the problem.

mathmap.exe appears to be installed by the GIMP installer, I have not manually installed any additional plugins (nor any mathmap software).

Is this a known issue?
Any tips how to solve this?
