gif file size?
Hi, I'm creating a gif for my phone wallpaper Wink and I cannot exceed 300kb, so I'm trying to compress it a bit. Any ideas? I've already tried indexing the color, but the gif quality just gets lower and the file size doesn't change.
PS Converting to a zip file doesn't work for me, because after I unarchive it on my phone, it'll go back to the original file size, right??
PPS, I've attached the file. Yeah (sigh) I'm an avid fan.
Sry if I'm not making any sense here...

RE: gif file size?
An animated with 12 frames of that size is bound to be bulky. Use less frames (make two or three GIFs and change them periodically). This of course, assuming that your phone really support animated GIF wallpapers. Did you try with a sample?

RE: gif file size?
sure, I did try with a sample, and it works fine but there's still a file size limit. anyway thanks for the tip–I haven't worked with gifs, much, in gimp yet, so i'm up for some trial and error!
