Free Select Tool Issue!
Recently purchased a new laptop. Due to the fact the latest version of Gimp wouldn't perform on my unit, I deleted it, and uploaded the "previous" version.

My problem is...When using the "Free Select Tool" to cutout the background around an image. Once I mark the "first" point, and progress along, 30 seconds to 3 minutes into the project, upon marking a spot along my project, a line will shoot across my project, to the "first" mark, closing the sequence. Whereby the next process, would to eliminate the background (because now the ants are moving around the cutout area). only problem is, my project was just started, and far from "done".

I am not accidentally setting off my cursor ...the system is just prematurely closing the sequence. I've done many projects with Gimp...and though I'm not a Gimp "professional" per say, I know my way around fairly well, to accomplish what I need to.

I thought there might be an issue with my cursor "sensitivity", and turned the sensitivity all the way down...did not correct problem.

Hope someone out there knows how to correct this issue. Thanks!
