Free Select defaults to subtract
Don't know why, but I'll use free select once and thereafter will automatically choose subtract. You can probably understand my frustration. Anybody know how to fix this?

RE: Free Select defaults to subtract
- Start Gimp
- Start FreeSelect
- In the Tool options dialog, make sure it's in "Replace" mode (leftmost icon)
- "Edit/Preferences" -> "Tool options" -> "General" -> "Save Tool Options Now"

In the same screen you may want to unset "Save tool options on exit".

Note: this will save the current options for all tools, plus current context: foreground/background colors, pattern, palette, and brush.
