Fix right mouse = background! How to?

So the "context menu" is popping up every time I press the right mouse button, in the hope of painting in the secondary (background) colour.

Everything I read when I search the web, the guide etc. tells me how great this annoying (to me) behaviour is, while ignoring the many other, and more convenient (to me) ways of accessing all those options that I have. (the menu mouse button, the F10 key, the context key, the Alt key and just by moving the mouse to the top of the window and clicking off any option I want) They don't tell me how to map my right mouse button to paint in the background colour as I would expect.

Please tell me how I can alter this default behaviour.

N.B. I'm not trying to tell you that the present default behaviour shouldn't be "the default", if it really suites your core community. (you know that better than I) I'm just saying I've tried it, and it's not working for me. Please help.

Thanks. Smile

I do use a tablet, and don't thank you for it. :รพ

The pen has a menu key by my thumb, and a right click button on the index finger. It doesn't map the "X" key to anything though. So I'm still going to have to find an add-on solution to that. Sad

While I still don't want to alter the default, I'm now flawed that there is no option for this. Super sad.

If the info is accurate, thanks for saving me the time trying to find an option which doesn't exist.

...There might be a way to configure the right-click button after all. Under the "Available controllers" add "mouse buttons"

if you can't add it (get a pop up message) , remove the "middle mouse wheel" from the active column, then try again. (see below link)
