fill
so, I have scanned a traditional drawing into gimp and am colouring it in Smile

my problem: i did the otlines in blue, but i want them black now, so they stand out more.

what I did: I used colour select to select all the lines HOWEVER it wouldnt fill the whole line in beacuse, being a scan, the ink had sections of different colour.

what i did next: fuzzy select the background, filled it in black, inverted selection, deleted line and was going to fill in blue or something so I now have it one colour...

but because the line is thin, it is made up of some areas which are seperatied from the main selection. therefore, I have about 100000 sections to fill in, some as tiny as a pixel :O

HEEEELLPPPPP MEEEE :O

- Duplicate the layer
- "Layer/Transparency/Add alpha channel" (if it's grayed, then it's already there)
- remove background on that layer (see "background removal" link in my sig). The result doesn't need to be perfect.
- In the Layers list, lock the alpha channel for that layer:
[attachment=1306]
- Bucket-fill the layer with the required color
