file-new and new layer/duplicated layer
Hello!
Seems that in any case duplicated and new layers change colors for to, but hte first one changes its color just from its own to transparency...is that right?

Many thanks!!!!

RE: file-new and new layer/duplicated layer
I don't think so... When you duplicate (copy) a layer, the colors from that layer should be the same.

When you create a new layer, you get a pop-up window with options.
()forground color
()backround color
()white
()transparent

When you create a new canvas/project, by default, it is filled with whatever the current or default background color is.
*Unless you tell Gimp in "Create a New Image" "[+]Advanced Options"
"Fill with".

If this doesn't answer your question, you may want to rephrase your question so that I or others can better understand it.

"In order to succeed, your desire for success should be greater than fear of failure." BC
