Exclamation File format help (or what extention to use?)
I am working on some stuff on the gimp that have many pictures that all need to be kept movable. I need to be able to save without having to flatten or merge the images. What extension do I use to do this?

RE: File format help (or what extention to use?)
XCF is the native Gimp format. It keeps everything: layers, selections, paths... It's a good habit to save all images as XCF, and "export" them in another format (JPG, PNG) only when needed for publication or sharing.
