Feathered edges
After years of photoshop use, I'm now trying to work with Gimp.
In photoshop, I'd set a number of pixels (usually 9 for web images) on the cropping tool, outline my area, then select inverse, then delete and my image would then be feathered in with the background colour. I'm a rank beginner here and can't see how to do this in Gimp. I'd be grateful for any help.
