fading into invisible
I have this image attached. You can see how I tried to make the lower half fade out. I used an old trick I knew at the time that could make an image fade into transparency, but for some reason this image only gets lighter.

Secondly I do not remember what it is I once did. I am on my smart phone now so the .xcf file is on my lap top which is not with me for another couple more hours. At least someone pm'd me here and got me to log back in, because I have been wondering this since around April. :/
