editing the text in a PSD
Hi all,

It seems this is not possible in GIMP, but I just wanted to ask this community before I went off and got PhotoShop.

I've attached a file example. Is it possible to edit that text. Or only delete that text layer, and replace it with new text?

thanks,
Andrew

RE: editing the text in a PSD
For my Gimp there are only two layers in that PSD, a completely transparent one an dthe "DEEP FOCUS" one. It not a problem to erase/delete any of these layers and replace them.

But if you only deal with text and logo, the best tool is neither Gimp nor Photoshop, it's InkScape, because vector graphics are much better for these images.

Ok. Does InkScape open PSD files like this one?

No, it won't open it. But what do you expect to keep from the original file?
