Easier Multi-step Transforms
Hello, not sure what to call this really but I'm wondering if there's an easy way to turn this
[Image: RYmdTZn.png]
into this
[Image: 0nAs8wf.png]

Currently I'm zooming in, selecting half the image, flipping it horizontally, then repeating for the other side.
Being able to do this with 1-3 clicks (or ideally a keyboard shortcut) would be extremely useful to me.
I'd be willing to pay someone to make an extension if an easy way does not already exist.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

RE: Easier Multi-step Transforms
Are they all as symettrical as your example ?

There is already a tool Layer -> Transform -> Offset (shift-ctrl-o) where offset by either x set to 50%
or in your example offset by x/2,y/2 works except the colours are 'flipped'. Apply the flip tool. Still 5 key presses but easy.

Offnuts has a script which does the same
http://sourceforge.net/projects/gimp-too...s/scripts/ 9 down 'seamless-helper-1.0.py and this a bit quicker
Layer -> Swap -> left and right. The colours are still on the wrong side so a 'flip' is required. That gets it to 4 key presses but is quick.

It's for texture art which needs to wrap around seamlessly, so I do it once, paint and make sure it wraps, then flip them back.
I can still paint things if they're flipped mid-process, so your solution is perfect and will save me loads of time.

Several, but the effect has to be applied many times during the course of painting textures.

Thanks for your answers!
