E-mail notifications getting flaky
I've got subscriptions for new topics in General, Plugins and Beginners, and I find that sometimes I didn't receive an email notification. The same is also true for the threads I replied to. As far as I can tell it's not a case of notifications taken as spam.
For instance I didn't get anything for the "Save to Channel" thread in General, if someone wants to look at the logs... Not that big an issue for me, but then it may be the symptom of something more serious. ![]() |

RE: E-mail notifications getting flaky
Auggh... the "Save to Channel" case is a bad exemple, it was only a matter of very slow mail transfer actually.

RE: E-mail notifications getting flaky
Yeah, it seems whenever you Subscribe to something there is a quite a slow mail trail... I had the same problem before, except the topic was rather Lively and all of a sudden I would have 30 emails comming in at once...

Hard to tell right now, because activity is fairly low :-)

RE: E-mail notifications getting flaky
Hmm. Just found a couple of notifications in my spam folder. The header says:
Code: Subject: *** SPAM ***New Reply to GIMP team decides on features plan for 2.8 and beyondThe ***SPAM*** prefix is added by my mail provider on what it detects as spam. Note the almost empty "From:" field (common to all those that triggered the spam detector) ![]() |
