Dumbest question ever-moving images
I import a photo and move or scale it. When I do this my photo disappears (there is just a speckled box) unless part of it overlaps with the original position- where does it go?! How do I get it back in it's new position or new size?
All I want to do is put 2 photos next to each other

You can increase the canvas size using "Image/Canvas size" or more automatically using Image/Fit canvas to layers"
Thank you, it worked!! Except that when I upload to a website the website picks up 4 of these images, not just one. Is that a Gimp issue or a website issue?
