Drop shadow issue
Thanks for all of your previous help.

I created an image with a decent drop shadow last week (example1), now I just tried to create one similar (example2) but it comes out different, and I believe I'm using the same settings. can you possibly suggest what i might have forgotten? TYhanks again.

RE: Drop shadow issue
Could be opacity settings both in drop shadow dialog and in the drop shadow layer. The plugin should set the layer value.

RE: Drop shadow issue
Thanks for your reply.
As far as I can tell, it's not an opacity or layer issue.
maybe I'm missing something.
The attched example, I simply made a rounded rectangle and went to: effects > light and shadow > drop shadow - at 100 opacity and it still looks weak. Any suggestions?

RE: Drop shadow issue
- The drop shadow (at least the one in Filters/Light and shadow/Drop shadow" wouldn't produce a drop-shadow like this from a rectangle selection. There would be no shadows on top and right (they wouldn't be visible...).
- So what you have above isn't the dropshadow of a full rectangle, but the drop shadow of a rectangle outline (1px border selection) (at 100% zoom, you can't see the difference, but at 800% zoom you'll see that you have two lines of marching ants side by side).

Here is what I get with all default values for a 1px border selection on a rectangle:

@Chrisj

It could well be a matter of scale if you are using small speech bubbles.

However, have a look at this,

Then lets know the difference, layers, - position, quantity - anything over the top & settings
