Drawing along path - Manually
I'll keep this simple.

I'm trying to figure out how to draw along a path I created. But everything that I've found seems to be telling me to use the "Stroke Path" tool. But I don't want the program to actually draw the line for me. It doesn't provide the same style as if it was done by hand.

Is there any way to 'lock' my cursor along a path I created so that I can draw along it manually?

Thanks, that works perfectly. I was able to increase the snap distance by messing with the source, so the 8 pixels thing isn't an issue.

Well then maybe I should've provided my base issue and see if there's a better solution.

Currently, I have a brush dynamic (size=pressure) that draws something like this when using Stroke Path:

But I'd like to create something like this:

Unfortunately, to do this I need to create new paths for each stroke. While I can merge them together, this becomes repetitive to do. Is there some way of splitting a path into multiple sections so that strokes occur like the second figure?

So what would you suggest I do in this situation? Make each one a separate path and merge them together?
