disabling popup tips about the keys pressed
Hi.

I have a question about the following behavior of gimp. When I press the control, shift or alt key, a small tooltip pops up on screen to tell me which key I'm holding down. It disappears as soon as I release the key. How do I disable this behavior, so I'm no longer notified by such a small popup tooltip regarding the keys I'm holding down?

I've been looking in the preferences, but I couldn't find where I can toggle off this behavior.

Here is a screenshot to illustrate what I mean:

Kind regards and thanks in advance for any feedback, Niek

I cannot reproduce this behavior... what version of Gimp and what OS are you using? If Lunux, what version of GTK? I'm not sure this is Gimp at work, it could be some other software...

Ah, yes, I see now it's not related to gimp because it also occurs when I don't have gimp running. It might be related to my wacom intuos 3 tablet. I've been having some issues with the tablet driver (though I've tried to install the latest driver).
Also, it behaves rather weird. When I had the tablet plugged in, it would display those keys during holding the keys down. When I disconnected the tablet from the usb port, this behavior stopped. But the weird thing is that when I reconnected the tablet, the behavior didn't return.
Maybe it was an issue related to a temporary conflict between the standard windows
driver for the tablet and the wacom tablet driver.
Anyway, I hope the problem doesn't return.

Thanks and kind regards, Niek
