Did I download GIMP Portable from the right website?
Hello,

I just decided to learn how to use GIMP.

I need the portable version.

I downloaded it from the following website:

portableapps.com/apps/graphics_pictures/gimp_portable

The setup didn't look right after I downloaded it.

Did I download it from the correct website?

Thank youUndecided

AFAIK this is a legitimate site(*), A "portable" setup is different from a regular one (because you can can run the whole thing off a USB key, for instance). So the main executable may be different (to set up the runtime environment for the actual Gimp executable...).

(*) partha.com also does portable versions IIRC, that include more stuff (python support, some well known plugins).
