Creating Brushes and color?
Hello everybody,

I am trying to create a brush of a bubble. The end result I want is a colored bubble with a white shine like in this tutorial http://xadrea.deviantart.com/art/GIMP-Tu...832729788. I am trying to make it into a brush so that I can replicate it easily and add an overlay to make the color.

I am having difficulty getting color in the middle and white as the edge/shine. I keep getting color as the shine and white in the middle. I suppose I am doing something wrong with the choice of white, black, gray, and alpha while making the brush. I hope I have been clear enough. Anybody know how to fix this issue?

Typo of numbers,

Anyways,

Make sure your working on the correct layer (click the layer in the "layers" dialog window, move it to the top if it isn't

First Try "Colors > Hue-saturation" drag the hue slider
If not just right, click cancel, Then "Colors > Map > Rotate Colors" or "Colors > Colorize"
Update us if it works out
Post up a screenshot with your canvvas & layers window visible if your still having trouble

You don't need to make "color" brushes. If the image is grayscale (Image/mode/Grayscale" and you save it to a Gimp brush, you obtain a brush that uses the foreground color...

Can confirm this : http://snag.gy/V1mdk.jpg

But I think you need to turn on brush Dynamics(at least when I later tried it with a clipboard brush) Under the brush tool options turn the "Dynamic" to "color from gradient"

Set [+]Dynamic options...

As if I were usually talking nonsense Smile

I just wanted to concrete your instructions, meant no disrespect :}
Since when you turn grascale, it removes all colors, but I missed the step about saving it as a brush file, so my logic to that is null.
