combining selections by color
I can see how to select by color: you just choose Select > By Color from the menu.

What i would like to do is combine several such selections (that is,
i would like to get a "union of selections").

I think i should be able to do this by holding the shift key down for the 2nd
and following ones, but that doesn't seem to work for me.

Alternatively, is there some way you can save or export a selection to a file,
and then combine several files to get a new larger selection?

Thanks in advance for any information.

RE: combining selections by color
Select the Select By Color Tool (Shift+O) and left click the color you wanna select, and then you'd do the same to the other color by holding shift, which adds to your selection.

NOTE: To select more left click and drag down, to select less, instead of dragging down, drag up!
