Color cast removal

Color cast removal
I have used gimp for years, and never tried to remove a blue cast from an image. I have several images I have shot over the years, of winter scenes, now I want to see them in "normal" colors. I tried a couple of plugins and gimp operations, but I have no real good results. Suggestions?, links?

These color casts are usually to to a wrong wite balance or color temperature setting. For this, the simplest way is to install these scripts:

whitebalance if you have colors that can act as references for white/gray (snow with some shadow)

colortemp to correct the color temperature (see image EXIF data for the color temperature assumed by the camera)

I downloaded colortemp, it works, I just need to learn the best tweaks. I deal with lighting 2-3. times a week in my job, so I am no stranger to the lighting ins and outs, just have to learn this script. Thanks
