Clipboard brush.
I'm having an awful lot of trouble trying to get the clipboard brush to work. I want to use it in this tutorial http://www.gimpusers.com/tutorials/creat...-medallion sections 11 to 14, but no matter what I try the shivers brush is always tiny.

I copy the shivers layer to the clipboard, set the size to 35 and spacing to 101 and create a new dynamic as instructed but the brush is too small to be usable. I have to change the brush size to 508 to get it anywhere near the size of the shiver and it is also way off to the upper right hand side of the cursor arrow.

Here's a screenshot to show what I mean, the red arrow points to the shivers brush.

Because of the problems with the brush size, and its location in respect of the cursor arrow, whenever I try to stroke the path the shivers end up all over the place, not a very technical term but it's basically what happens.
So I'm wondering what's going wrong.

Thanks for any help with this.

RE: Clipboard brush.
Your selection before you copy to the clipbaord is too big. You should have a selection that closely surrounds the object you want to use as a brush. In his own words at step 11: "Keep the selection active and copy the contents to the clipboard" (since you created the shiver using a polygonal selection the selection is the shiver) and you can see in the screenshot at step 12 that the clipboard brush is 18x41pixels (and is a close fit to the shiver shape).

RE: Clipboard brush.
Thank you.
I really should pay more attention to what I'm reading. I completely missed the part about keeping the shiver selection active, but now that I've done it the shivers appear on the path exactly as they should.Cool
