Can't locate my GIMP profile (OSX)
I have been searching for my GIMP profile because my GIMP won't export PNGs anymore.

I deleted my Library folder awhile ago because it did not have anything in it and I believe this to be the root of the problem.

Please help, I love GIMP.

RE: Can't locate my GIMP profile (OSX)
I am absolutely trying to do that, but I cannot even locate that. Pretend I am an 80 year-old grandma.

How do I get to 'Filters'? I went through Devices (my name)>System>Library>Filters and only these showed up in the folder:
Black & White.qfilter
Blue Tone.qfilter
Create Generic PDFX-3 Document.qfilter
Gray Tone.qfilter
Lightness Decrease.qfilter
Lightness Increase.qfilter
Reduce File Size.qfilter
Sepia Tone.qfilter

How would I get to Python-fu?

Well it would make image manipulation a lot more difficult haha.

Here is what it says:
/Users/ericsantarsiero/Library/Application Support/GIMP/2.8

But, here are all the folders in Users/ericsantarsiero/
Applications
Desktop
Documents
Downloads
Dropbox
Movies
Music

Yes, just did. I searched for Visible and Invisible files in Finder.

Still no GIMP profile. No parasiterc. No pluginrc.

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "<input>", line 1, in <module>
NameError: name 'directory' is not defined

It gave me that.

Now I got this:

import os
>>> os.stat(gimp.directory)
posix.stat_result(st_mode=16877, st_ino=87042415, st_dev=16777218L, st_nlink=39, st_uid=501, st_gid=20, st_size=1326, st_atime=1411681182, st_mtime=1411681182, st_ctime=1411681182)
>>> os.stat(gimp.directory+'/pluginrc')
posix.stat_result(st_mode=33188, st_ino=87051015, st_dev=16777218L, st_nlink=1, st_uid=501, st_gid=20, st_size=268272, st_atime=1411681185, st_mtime=1410995668, st_ctime=1410995668)

RE: Can't locate my GIMP profile (OSX)
So, I answered the root of my question from talking to a Mac Genius.

All I had to do to find it was to go to Finder and hit the top tab that says Go. Within the drop-down list, I held 'option' and Library popped up, with GIMP and all.
