Brushes not showing on screen (OSX)
I have a problem with my brushes. This is what I would always do: I would click on a brush and then when I moved to the photo itself, a preview of the brush would show up in small dots(LIKE IN THE PHOTO BELOW) .

But now that doesn't happen! I have to click on the photo for the brush to appear and because of that I don't know how big my brush is BEFORE putting it on the picture!

HELP I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO ANYMORE

RE: Brushes not showing on screen HELP!
1) Don't use uppercase. We know you are upset. We aren't stupid.

2) What are settings in Edit>Preferences -> Image windows -> Mouse pointers

3) What OS and version of Gimp?

Edited you thread title to attract the knowledgeable Mac users (this is very likely a system-dependent problem).

And the answer to Question 2 is...?

It didn't work, when I click on edit there is no "preferences" option
And when I did find the Preferences, I couldn't see Image Windows so, no.

RE: Brushes not showing on screen (OSX)
All right so I did find the option "Activate Brush Outline" or something like that in the preferences menu but it's still not showing the contour and I don't understand why

RE: Brushes not showing on screen (OSX)
Hi AsheFF,
I found this site via google that is supposed to have some info on Gimp/OSX issues.
However, the site will not display in my browser.
Perhaps you will have more luck displaying it than I did.
